This extensive Travel and Training Package is only available through Terri Schneider and is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to train with a coach for the Bhutan International Marathon(BIM), then travel to Bhutan on a detailed travel package created by that same coach (non-Training, Travel option available). As Expedition Bhutan Leader and advisor and sponsor of the BIM, Terri Schneider is intimate with Bhutan. She has customized this Travel and Training Package for this event while showcasing the beauty and cultural intrigue of western Bhutan. In addition to offering several adventure options within this travel package, you will experience the cultural highlights of this unique Buddhist country.

Details and Cost

BIM 14-Day All-Inclusive Travel and Training Package
Land Dates in Bhutan: February 17 – March 2
(these dates do not include your personal travel time to and from Paro, Bhutan)

Cost:
$         per runner, all inclusive (contact Terri for a non-Training Program cost)
$         per non-runner, all inclusive (Does NOT include: Marathon Training Program, race fleece and hat)

Important Notes:

  • Though this package was created for and to support the BIM and the BOC, you do not have to participate in the Bhutan International Marathon or Half Marathon to join this travel package! Friends, family or interested travelers are welcome.
  •  All physical endeavors are recommended but OPTIONAL. If you opt out of a day of physical play, you will be able to participate in a tour option on that day.

BIM Package Does NOT Include:

  •  International airfare to and from Paro, Bhutan
  •  Any hotel or food costs en route to and from Paro, Bhutan
  •  Additional tips for local staff
  •  Personal drinks, snacks, laundry, alcohol and gifts
  •  Subsequent lodging beyond nights listed in itinerary
  •  Travel insurance (highly recommended) for this trip
  •  Charges incurred as a result of delays beyond the control of Terri Schneider and the Bhutan International Marathon

IMPORTANT Payment, Cancelation and Additional Travel Information:

  •  Travel Package payments are paid in full 6-weeks prior to the date of arrival in Bhutan. It takes, at minimum, one month to process your Bhutanese visa.
  •  In order to get a flight on Druk Air into Paro on the date you wish, it is highly advisable to book this flight 2-3 months in advance. DO NOT DELAY on booking your Druk Air Flight.
  •  If flights are delayed due to weather conditions you are responsible for all food, accommodation and transportation costs prior to arriving in Paro.

Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy

Cancellation: A full refund can be given if cancellation is made on or before November 1, 2013. A 50% refund can be given if cancellation is received between November 2 and December 31, 2013. There are no refunds available after January 1, 2014.
